Duties and Responsibilities:
The key job functions are:
- Assisting with general shop and feedlot maintenance
- Performing basic mechanical tasks, such as; oil changes, greasing equipment, changing tires
- Identifying mechanical issues
- Operating equipment (pay loader, skid steer, tractor)
- Identifying and reporting repairs or maintenance needs around the feedlot and facilities
- Supporting general labour duties as required
- Welding experience is considered an asset
Qualifications:
- Ability to work fully onsite
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Comfortable working in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
- Comfortable working at heights when required
- Willingness to work extended hours during busy periods
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role required
Skills:
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work safely and effectively under pressure
- Eagerness to learn and grow, supporting the team wherever needed
Base Salary: $27+ per hour
- Compensation based on experience
- Full benefits package provided after successful completion of the 3-month probationary period
Work Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00am – 5:00pm
- Some weekend work required
