WHO YOU ARE AT PANASONIC CANADA:
Panasonic Canada Inc. is currently looking to hire for the position of Translator.
Supports on translation tasks including the review, editing and translation of business required content. Collaborates with the 3rd party French translation vendor to coordinate projects and meet deadlines. Ensures high-quality, compliant content for French-speaking audiences that aligns with Panasonic Canada’s tone and brand voice. Maintains familiarity with Quebec Language Bureau language regulations. Participates in and assists with special projects as required
This is a contract role for 12 months.
This position is hybrid. Any office-based work will be performed from our Mississauga office at Ambler Drive.

Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Deliver high-quality French translations of technical, multimedia, marketing, web, and business content while maintaining the meaning, tone, style, and formatting of source materials.
- Ensure consistent use of approved terminology, brand language, and organizational lexicon across all translated content.

Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to validate content accuracy and maintain the organization's brand voice.
- Proofread, edit, and review translated materials to ensure linguistic quality, accuracy, and consistency.
- Adapt content to target audiences by ensuring appropriate literacy level, complexity, completeness, and messaging.
- Partner with external translation vendors to manage priorities, meet deadlines, provide feedback, and ensure compliance with brand and style guidelines.
- Deliver translations on time while maintaining familiarity with Quebec Language Bureau regulations and meeting stakeholder expectations.
Qualifications:
MUST-HAVES:

College diploma or university degree (3- or 4-year Bachelor’s degree) with 2–3 years of related professional experience.
- Full bilingual proficiency in French and English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams); experience with Adobe Acrobat and Figma is considered an asset.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder requests simultaneously.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, proactive approach, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality work.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, establish rapport, and collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
WHAT YOU’LL EARN:
The hourly wage range for this position is $33 -$37 CAD.
Actual compensation offered to the selected incumbent will vary depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills and experience related to the role.
