Job Summary:
Industrial Electrician will install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, service, and repair industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical protection and controls. These include equipment or components directly or indirectly exposed to electrical power such as motors, generators, pumps and lighting systems. This role is within a manufacturing facility.
Job Responsibilities:

Strict adherence to all health and safety regulations, company policies and safe work practices.
- Read and interpret standards, prints, drawings, and codes for layout.

Install, service and maintain electrical components such as lighting fixtures, switches, conduit, and electrical controls.

Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure system safety and compatibility.
- Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
- Repair and troubleshoot electrical equipment and electrical systems.
- Responsible for electrical inspections of the machines recording and resolving any abnormalities.

Ability to adhere and complete work within specified timelines.

Must be prepared to work on various shifts with supervision.
Job Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent that includes Math and English credits, and must have Provincial Electricians Ticket (442A or 309D).

2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing company.

Must have knowledge of PLC, robotic, and HMI programming and controls.

Proven experience performing electrical/electronic troubleshooting of equipment.

Must be capable of interpreting and designing electrical schematics.

Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills to read and interpret schematics, drawings and specifications.
- Good mechanical aptitude to install, troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Good grasp of digital technology because many of the skills and technology for an industrial electrician
- are computer based.
- Good vision and hearing, the ability to distinguish colours and a willingness to upgrade their skills to adapt to new developments in the trade.
