Home Instead Southampton, an Outstanding rated, family-run organisation, is seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our growing team. We are passionate about providing high-quality care to our clients, ensuring their well-being and independence in the comfort of their own homes. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our clients in Sholing, Bitterne Park, Netley, Portswood, and Locks Heath. Our commitment to minimum 1-hour visits allows you to build meaningful relationships and provide personalised care.
Providing companionship and engaging in meaningful activities with clients.
Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
Preparing meals and assisting with feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met.
Administering medication, following established protocols and guidelines (where trained).
Providing light housekeeping duties, such as laundry and tidying.
Accompanying clients to appointments and social activities.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.
A genuine passion for providing care and making a difference in people's lives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Access to reliable transportation.
Satisfactory enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
Experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Competitive hourly rate of £13.30 - £14.30 per hour.
Consistent, minimum 1-hour visits to allow for quality care.
