Position Summary
GNB Contracting is seeking an experienced and motivated Concrete Work Foreman to oversee and coordinate concrete restoration, repair, and construction projects throughout the Greater Toronto Area. The Foreman will be responsible for managing field crews, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently, maintaining quality standards, and coordinating daily site operations to meet project schedules and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise concrete restoration and construction crews on active job sites.
- Site Supervision & Leadership
- Plan daily work activities and assign tasks to crew members.
- Ensure productivity targets and project schedules are achieved.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety meetings.
- Train and mentor laborers, operators, and skilled trades personnel.
Concrete & Restoration Work
- Oversee concrete removal, forming, reinforcing, placing, finishing, and curing operations.
- Supervise concrete repair activities including:
- Structural concrete repairs
- Parking garage restoration
- Balcony restoration
- Ramp repairs
- Concrete patching and resurfacing
- Crack injection
- Waterproofing preparation and installation
- Verify materials, mix designs, and installation methods comply with project specifications.
Health & Safety
- Enforce company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OHSA, IHSA, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and hazard assessments.
- Maintain proper use of PPE and safety equipment.
- Report incidents, near misses, and safety concerns promptly.
Quality Control
- Inspect work throughout all project phases.
- Ensure workmanship meets contract specifications and industry standards.
- Coordinate site testing and inspections when required.
- Identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate deliveries, equipment, subcontractors, and material requirements.
- Communicate daily progress, challenges, and manpower requirements to the Project Manager.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Maintain daily site reports, timesheets, and production records.
- Assist with project planning and sequencing.
Equipment & Resources
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Monitor material usage and reduce waste.
- Coordinate equipment rentals and site logistics as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in concrete construction, restoration, or rehabilitation projects.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Concrete placement and finishing
- Concrete restoration techniques
- Reinforcing steel installation
- Formwork systems
- Waterproofing systems
- Parking garage and balcony restoration
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid Ontario Driver's License (G Class).
- Ability to travel to project sites throughout the GTA.

- WHMIS
- First Aid & CPR
- Worker Health & Safety Awareness
- Elevated Work Platform Certification
- Concrete restoration and waterproofing experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, and perform physical construction activities as required.

Reporting To: Project Manager / Operations Manager
Location: Greater Toronto Area, Ontario
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
