Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installer and Finishing guy to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the precise installation and finishing of various flooring materials, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to project specifications. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with experience in construction, carpentry, or handyman work are encouraged to apply.
Duties
- Measure and prepare surfaces for flooring installation using hand tools and blueprint reading skills
- Install various flooring materials such as tile, hardwood, laminate, or vinyl with precision and care
- Finish flooring edges by caulking, trimming, and sealing to ensure a seamless appearance
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to accurately execute installation plans
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation processes
- Perform finishing tasks including sanding, polishing, and detailing to achieve a professional look
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met while maintaining quality standards
- Conduct site clean-up after completion of installation work
Qualifications
- Proven experience in flooring installation, tile laying, or related construction work
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation
- Proficiency with hand tools, carpentry techniques, and caulking methods
- Prior handyman experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a construction setting
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Valid driver’s license is mandatory
