Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials. This role requires precision, craftsmanship, and a strong understanding of construction principles to deliver high-quality results on various projects, including renovations and restorations. The Brick Mason will work closely with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards.
Duties
- Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and stone according to blueprints.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine layout and dimensions
- Operate hand tools such as trowels, chisels, hammers, and levels efficiently
- Use power tools including drills, saws, and grinders safely and effectively
- Operate heavy equipment when required for large-scale construction or restoration tasks
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and specifications
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools used in masonry work such as trowels, chisels, hammers, and levels
- Experience with construction processes including masonry techniques and restoration work
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics interpretation
- Experience with heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Strong physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and working in various environmental conditions
