At Beaver The Roofer, we deliver premium residential and commercial roofing solutions built on a foundation of quality, integrity, and efficiency. As our project volume expands, we are looking for a dual-threat Project Manager who can accurately price out jobs and seamlessly manage them from the initial handshake to the final inspection.
The Role
This isn't a purely desk-bound role, nor is it strictly a field job—it's the bridge between the two. You will be responsible for visiting sites, conducting precise take-offs, building profitable estimates, and then leading the logistics, scheduling, and client communication to ensure those projects are delivered on time and on budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurate Estimating: Conduct detailed site assessments and digital take-offs for residential and commercial roofing systems (shingles, flat roofing/modified bitumen, metal, etc.).
- Proposal Creation: Prepare clear, competitive, and profitable material and labor estimates, scopes of work, and formal quotes for clients.
- Project Oversight: Schedule crews, coordinate material deliveries, and oversee job sites to ensure workmanship aligns with building codes and company standards.
- Budget & Margin Tracking: Monitor project costs in real-time, manage change orders, and ensure jobs hit their target profit margins.
- Client & Crew Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, commercial property managers, and site superintendents, keeping everyone informed and aligned.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all projects strictly adhere to local occupational health and safety regulations and fall protection standards.
What We Are Looking ForWe need someone who knows the physics of a roof and the math behind a profitable business.
- Proven Roofing Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on roofing experience, with at least 2 years specifically in estimating or project management.
- Estimating Expertise: Proficient in reading blueprints, structural drawings, and utilizing modern take-off software or manual measuring techniques.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of residential shingle systems, commercial flat roof assemblies (APP/SBS modified bitumen, EPDM, TPO), flashing details, and ventilation requirements.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable using project management software, digital estimating tools, and spreadsheets to track job data.
- Strong Communication: Excellent negotiation, presentation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Valid Driver’s License: A clean driving record is mandatory (a company vehicle or vehicle allowance will be provided).
