- Ab Initio Mastery: Proven experience with GDE, EME, Graphs, Meta-programming and Control Center.
- Database Expertise: Strong proficiency in SQL (Oracle, Teradata, or Snowflake preferred).
- Unix/Linux: Solid experience in Shell Scripting (Korn, Bash) for process automation.
- Data Warehousing: D eep understanding of ETL patterns, data modeling, and Big Data concepts.
- Problem Solving: Ability to debug complex data flows and optimize throughput.
Preferred/Bonus Skills
- Experience with Python for data manipulation or automation.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Roles & Responsibilities
- Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end ETL processes using Ab Initio (GDE, Co-Operating System).
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
- Automate data workflows and system tasks using Unix/Linux Shell Scripting.
- Perform performance tuning of Ab Initio graphs and SQL queries to handle large datasets.
- Collaborate with data architects to translate business requirements into technical designs.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysis.
