Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Geotechnician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part by providing essential support in the collection, handling, and analysis of core samples. Your attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team will be vital to the success of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preliminary assessments of core for quality and integrity.
- Operate cutting machinery with precision to produce core samples according to detailed specifications.
- Ensure all core samples meet quality standards by inspecting finished products for accuracy and consistency.
- Document and maintain accurate records of sample details and findings.
- Document production data accurately, including measurements, quantities, and machine settings.
- Provide support in the maintenance and calibration of equipment used in core processing.
- Collaborate with geologists and other technicians to enhance sample processing techniques.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations during sampling operations.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Additional support tasks related to site operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in a mining, geological, or laboratory environment preferred.
- Full (G) drivers license.
- Strong understanding of geological sampling techniques and principles.
- Proficient in data entry and report generation using software applications.
- Ability to work in both independent and team-oriented environments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and production-driven environment.
- Ability to move 50lbs core boxes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
