Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Prepper/ Painter to join our dynamic automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a Autobody environment and possess strong prepping and painting knowledge. This role involves repairing, restoring, and maintaining vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety. Candidates should be proficient with hand tools, power tools, and capable of performing heavy lifting as part of their daily tasks. Duties
- Prepares vehicles for paint, by sanding, masking, priming and perform minor repairs.
- Ability to sand, block, and cleaning damaged or repaired areas to prepare them for paint
- Covering areas that will not be painted to protect them during the refinished process.
- Applying primer to the prepared surfaces to create a smooth and durable base for paint.
- Apply Body Filler, making minor repairs to damage panels, and ensuring the vehicle is ready for paint.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with auto body repair preferred
- Ensuring the vehicle meets the required standards for paint preparation
- Familiarity with different types of vehicles and their components
- Experience operating power tools including grinders, drills, and spray guns
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment
- Knowledge of automotive repair techniques and industry best practices
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
