Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeping Supervisor to oversee our company's financial record-keeping operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in accounting software and a proven track record in managing bookkeeping functions. This role is vital for maintaining accurate financial data, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic financial planning. The Bookkeeping Supervisor will lead a team responsible for managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and account analysis, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Duties
- Supervise daily bookkeeping operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data entry and processing
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and collections
- Perform account reconciliations for bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities and resolve issues promptly
- Manage payroll processing using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Assist in budgeting processes by providing accurate financial reports and analysis
- Maintain and update accounting records using various accounting software platforms
- Train and support bookkeeping staff to ensure adherence to best practices and company policies
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
- Perform other duties as required.
Experience
- Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative roles.
- Prior experience in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger maintenance.
- Experience with payroll processing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working across departments.
- Commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and professional integrity.
Work schedule:
- Approximately 40 hours per week / 5 days per week.
- Mornings, Days, evenings and night shifts on weekdays or weekends.
- Daily shift end times for associates vary based on production needs.
Pay: $24.03-$26.44 per hour
