Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter / Cabinet Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, woodworking, and cabinet installation, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. This role involves precise finishing work, installation of cabinetry, and contributing to various residential and commercial projects. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require attention to detail, craftsmanship, and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation of cabinets and finishing carpentry.
- Install cabinets, countertops, trim, molding, and other woodwork with precision.
- Perform framing, concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry tasks as needed for project completion.
- Execute construction painting, caulking, and sealing to achieve high-quality finishes.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and installing materials.
- Assist with flooring installation, tile laying, siding, roofing, and other related tasks when required.
- Conduct restoration work on existing structures, ensuring seamless integration with new installations.
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting, scaffolding setup, electrical work (if applicable), plumbing connections, and other construction activities.
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all tools and materials are properly stored after use.
Requirements
- Proven experience in carpentry, woodworking, cabinet installation, or related construction fields.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery (nice-to-have), and construction estimating software (preferred).
- Knowledge of concrete forming, masonry techniques including rebar installation; roofing; siding; electrical; plumbing; HVAC; flooring; tile laying; caulking; and general construction practices is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of schematics and construction plans for precise execution of projects.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions.
- Handyman experience or background in restoration projects is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for travel between job sites. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about carpentry and finishing work who thrive in a fast-paced construction environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
