Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of machinery and equipment. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Candidates with dealership experience, mechanic expertise, and familiarity with heavy and industrial equipment are highly preferred. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and machinery, including cars, trucks, heavy equipment, and industrial machinery.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, schematics, and diagnostic equipment to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid replacements.
- Repair or replace mechanical components including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or other industrial machinery as needed.
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle or piece of equipment serviced.
- Assist with assembly or disassembly of mechanical systems using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic; dealership experience is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including electrical, HVAC, welding, and heavy machinery operation.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Experience working with farm machinery, industrial equipment, or construction machinery such as excavators or cranes is desirable.
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures along with maintenance practices for heavy or industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with welding techniques and electrical systems troubleshooting is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnostics and repairs.
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs needed.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
