Automotive Parts Advisor
Job Summary
The Automotive Parts Advisor is responsible for assisting customers and service technicians in identifying, sourcing, and purchasing automotive parts and accessories. This role requires strong product knowledge and attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely parts fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers (in-person, phone, or online) in selecting automotive parts and accessories
- Interpret customer needs and match them with the correct parts using catalogs or software
- Support service technicians by providing accurate parts for repairs and maintenance
- Maintain inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking parts
- Process sales transactions and handle payments
- Track and manage backorders and special orders
- Ensure parts are organized and stored properly
- Handle returns, warranties, and exchanges
- Keep up-to-date with new products, vehicle models, and manufacturer updates
- Maintain a clean and safe parts department
Qualifications
- Experience in automotive parts, retail, or customer service preferred
- Knowledge of vehicle systems and parts (OEM and aftermarket)
- Familiarity with parts catalog systems and inventory software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Retail or dealership environment
- Occasional lifting of heavy parts
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
