We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist who is collaborative, family-centred, and passionate about providing high quality, evidence-informed care. Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, fluency, voice, resonance, AAC, and swallowing assessments, as appropriate to your scope of practice and experience
- Develop individualized, functional, and evidence-informed treatment plans
- Provide engaging and effective therapy to clients across the lifespan in homes, schools, daycare centres, clinics, or other community settings
- Coach parents, caregivers, and communication partners to support carryover outside of therapy
- Collaborate with educators, physicians, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, Communicative Disorders Assistants, and other professionals to provide coordinated care
- Delegate appropriate therapy tasks to Communicative Disorders Assistants when applicable and provide clinical supervision in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation
- Prepare assessment reports, progress reports, funding documentation, and other clinical reports as required
- Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development
Qualifications & Skills
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
- Professional liability insurance
- Valid criminal record check
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Excellent clinical reasoning, assessment, and report writing skills
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
- Commitment to evidence-informed, family-centred practice
- Experience working with pediatric and/or adult populations is an asset
- Experience supervising Communicative Disorders Assistants is an asset
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset, but not required
Compensation: Competitive contractor rates based on experience, qualifications, and caseload.
