Summary
The Wine Consultant plays a key role in delivering a world-class guest experience at Two Sisters Vineyards. Responsible for leading engaging wine tastings, facilitating boutique sales, and sharing the winery’s story, the Wine Consultant embodies the warmth, professionalism, and passion that define our hospitality experience. This role requires strong product knowledge, a proactive approach to sales, and the ability to create personalized and memorable interactions for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet all guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm
- Lead informative and engaging wine tastings, highlighting product features, winery history, and winemaking philosophy
- Provide personalized wine and merchandise recommendations to drive sales and enhance guest satisfaction
- Promote and sell wine club memberships, wine experiences, and special offerings
- Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing boutique and tasting space
- Support restocking and merchandising of retail displays and boutique inventory
- Stay informed on winery offerings, promotions, and policies to ensure accurate communication and compliance
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and uphold service standards
- Uphold all Smart Serve regulations and responsible alcohol service protocols
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in hospitality, retail, or luxury service environment; experience in wine service is an asset
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional guest service and drive retail or wine sales
- Confident communication skills with an engaging, professional presence
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
- Must have valid Smart Serve Certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
- Must be physically able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs
- Strong familiarity with POS systems (TOCK and Commerce7)
- Wine education or certifications (WSET, ISG, CAPS) are considered strong assets
- Bilingualism is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
