Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our hospitality team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and freshness of linens, towels, and guest clothing, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and guest satisfaction. Duties
- Operate commercial laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and folding machines efficiently and safely.
- Sort, load, and unload laundry items according to type and care instructions.
- Ensure all linens, towels, and guest clothing are cleaned, pressed, and stored properly.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning machines and workspaces.
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
- Follow safety procedures and proper handling techniques for cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Assist with general cleaning tasks around the hotel as needed to support overall cleanliness standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel laundry services or general cleaning is preferred.
- Knowledge of laundry procedures and equipment operation is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads (up to 50 pounds).
- Excellent organizational skills and reliability.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly.
