Position: Scheduler
Term: Full Time, 1 Year Term (Possibility of renewal)
Bargaining Unit: Non-Union Administrative Position
Salary: $41,600 per year plus benefits (after six months)
Conway Workshop Association exists to empower individuals with diverse abilities to live full, meaningful, and self-directed lives. The Scheduler supports this mission by providing scheduling and on-call support to the staff team.
Major Responsibilities Include
- Creating Schedules: Develops master rotations and shift schedules for residential and vocational instructors.
- Managing Absences: Covers staff call-ins, vacancies, and leaves (vacation, sick leave, etc.)
- Ensuring Compliance: Ensures schedules follow collective agreement and legal regulations, managing breaks and hours of work.
- Using Scheduling Systems: Utilizes digital software to create, track, and update schedules in real-time.
- Communicating with Staff: Communicates with employees via email, phone, and text regarding shift availability and updates.
- Clerical Support: Assists with basic data entry, filing, and administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and use of a personal vehicle as required for job duties. (Mileage reimbursed per organizational policy).
- Willingness and ability to be on-call on a rotation for after-hours emergencies.
- The Employee must provide a satisfactory Criminal and Vulnerable Sector Check prior to commencing employment and is required to maintain a clear record by obtaining updated checks as required by applicable law or employer policy.
- Experience with scheduling in a unionized environment is an asset.
- Experience using StaffScheduleCare (SSC) an asset.
- Problem-solving and adaptability.
Pay: $41,600.00 per year
