Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nature-based Nanny/Mother's Helper to support a family in nurturing their children within an outdoor, environmentally enriched setting. This role involves engaging children aged 5-11 in nature-inspired activities, assisting with daily caregiving routines, and fostering a safe, educational, and joyful atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong appreciation for nature and sustainable living.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive caregiving to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks with an emphasis on healthy, organic ingredients
- Assist with meal preparation, including cooking simple, wholesome dishes suitable for children
- Engage children in outdoor activities such as nature walks, gardening, and environmental education
- Support daily routines
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, including light cleaning of play areas and children's belongings
- Work with children to develop educational skills through teaching about nature, as well as basics in reading, writing and mathematics.
- Foster positive social interactions and encourage curiosity about the natural world
Experience
- Prior experience working with School aged children (5-11)
- Skills in cooking, meal preparation, and light cleaning are desirable
- Background in teaching or early childhood development is advantageous
- Passion for outdoor activities, nature exploration, and child led learning.
