Healthy Skin Centre specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery of skin cancer and cutting edge cosmetic dermatology. We currently have an opening for a permanent part-time Registered Nurse in our state of the art Non-Hospital Surgical Facility located in the Brewery District in New Westminster, British Columbia, just steps from the Sapperton Skytrain station.
This is a permanent part-time position, 2 to 4 days a week from Tuesdays to Fridays. Surgical days start at 7h15 a.m. and end anytime between 3h30pm and 5h00 pm depending on the surgical slate. There are no evenings or weekend shifts.
This position offers you the opportunity to:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the operating room alongside a dermatologist and surgeon
- Evaluate and coordinate nursing care and perform scrubbing and circulating duties
- Learn about optimal skin care to maintain healthy skin and skin cancer prevention
To be the successful candidate, you will have:
- Graduated from a school of Nursing as an RN
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC)
- Recent 1 year relevant clinical nursing experience - training and experience in dermatology or as a scrub nurse in an OR is an asset but not necessary as all required training will be provided to the successful candidate.
- Sclerotherapy experience an asset
- Applicant must be fluent in English both verbally and written
- Applicant must be a resident of British Columbia
