Purpose of the Position:
Seeking a licensed 313A Journeyperson or Journeyperson to join our Service team in Durham Region. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in safely servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing various HVAC/R equipment.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, quote and repair full suite of commercial & industrial equipment
- Conduct Preventative Maintenances with an eye to reduce customer costs and extend longevity of equipment
- Complete work orders and PM reports online daily
- Work is both planned and unplanned levels of service – must be able to react quickly to service calls
- Ability to occasionally work out of town/travel to sites outside of the Durham Region/GTA
- Must be able to work a rotating on call schedule
Education and Experience Required:
- Post-Secondary diploma in HVAC/R
- 313A Designation / G1 license (or Apprentice)
- Member of UA Local 787
- OBT 1 is optional
- Valid ODP, WHMIS, First Aid, Working from heights, elevated working platforms and MOL (5 steps)
- Class G driver’s license with clean abstract
- Clear Criminal Background Check will be required for some customer sites
- Experience using digital technology / online work orders
Skills Required:
- Experience with chilled water systems
- Experience with pneumatic control systems
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent communication, relationship building and problem solving skills
- Must value teamwork and respect. Be punctual
