Job Overview
We are looking for a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Pest Control Technician to join our growing Calgary team. This is a hands-on position that involves travelling to residential and commercial properties, completing scheduled services, solving customer concerns, and recommending appropriate solutions.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, driving for extended periods, working outdoors, using ladders, and completing work at heights or on roofs when required. Strong communication skills, active listening, a positive attitude, and the ability to build trust with customers are essential.
Previous pest-control experience is considered an asset; however, training may be provided to the right candidate who is reliable, eager to learn, and interested in growing with the company.
Responsibilities
- Travel to residential and commercial customer locations throughout Calgary and surrounding areas
- Assess each property and determine the appropriate service or solution
- Complete assigned work safely, efficiently, and according to company procedures
- Operate ladders, hand tools, power tools, treatment equipment, traps, and monitoring devices
- Work safely at heights, on roofs, in attics, crawl spaces, basements, and outdoor environments
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and clearly explain the work being completed
- Recommend and upsell additional services when appropriate
- Maintain accurate service records, notes, photographs, and follow-up recommendations
- Keep company equipment, vehicles, and supplies clean, organized, and properly maintained
- Follow all safety requirements, product instructions, and company policies
- Represent the company professionally and provide excellent customer service
Qualifications and Skills
- Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record
- Comfortable driving for extended periods throughout the workday
- Comfortable using ladders and working at heights or on roofs
- Strong customer-service and people skills
- Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
- Positive, professional, and solutions-focused attitude
- Comfortable with sales, upselling, and recommending additional services
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently
- Able to lift equipment, bend, climb, and perform physically demanding work
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions
- Willingness to learn pest-control methods, equipment, products, and safety procedures
- Previous pest-control, wildlife-control, construction, roofing, landscaping, maintenance, or sales experience is an asset
- Alberta pesticide applicator licence is an asset but not required for all applicants

Daytime, evening, weekend, and occasional out-of-town availability may be required depending on customer and business needs.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
