We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our production team as Trainee Machine Operators. This entry-level role is designed for semi-skilled candidates who are eager to learn and grow within the corrugated packaging industry. The successful candidate will receive hands-on training and development to become a fully qualified Machine Operator responsible for running converting equipment safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist machine operators in setting up and operating converting machines (e.g., die cutters, folder gluers, flexo printers)
- Learn and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processes
- Support material handling, feeding sheets, stacking finished products, and basic machine adjustments
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and customer requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S standards)
- Follow all health & safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
- Report any machine issues, defects, or safety concerns to supervisors
- Participate in training programs to develop technical and operational skills
Training & Development Path:
- Phase 1: General production support and safety training
- Phase 2: Machine-specific training under supervision
- Phase 3: Independent operation of assigned machine
- Phase 4: Advancement to Machine Operator
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience is an asset (not mandatory)
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machinery
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude
- Basic English communication skills
- Willingness to work rotating shifts (days/afternoons/nights if required)

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
