Chemetics Inc. (Worley Group) is a diversified technology company that provides design and engineering solutions to the chloralkaline, sodium chlorate, chlorine dioxide, and sulphuric acid industries worldwide. It is a Company with a 60-year history in Vancouver with diverse cultures, talents, and highly skilled professionals. Chemetics operates a specialized alloy fabrication shop in Pickering, ON.
We are currently recruiting for a Production Scheduler/Administrator. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based at our fabrication facility in Pickering, ON Canada.
The Scheduler plays a key role in coordinating and optimizing production schedules, ensuring efficient workflow, and supporting administrative processes across the production department. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Primavera P6, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with Epicor ERP for manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, monitor, and adjust production schedules using Primavera P6 and Epicor ERP to meet project deadlines and customer requirements.
- Create, update, and analyze project schedules and production plans, ensuring alignment with project milestones and resource availability.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability and workflow.
- Track work orders, inventory levels, and production progress; identify and resolve scheduling conflicts using Epicor and P6 reporting tools.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, schedules, and reports in both Excel and Epicor.
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly production and project status reports, leveraging advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Support administrative functions such as document control, data entry, and filing.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and workflow, utilizing data analysis from Excel and ERP system reports.
- Communicate schedule changes and updates to relevant departments and stakeholders, ensuring data consistency across P6, Epicor, and internal documentation.
- Assist in the preparation and review of production documentation and standard operating procedures.
What you will bring:
Technical and Industry Experience:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 2+ years of experience in a production scheduling, planning, or administrative role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Ability to read drawings is an asset but not mandatory.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6 for project and production scheduling.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data analysis).
- Experience with Epicor ERP or similar manufacturing ERP systems for scheduling, inventory, and reporting.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
Required:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
For applicants based in the province of Ontario, the salary range is $74K to $87K CAD.
