Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finisher to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for completing the final stages of product assembly and ensuring quality standards are met. This role requires mechanical aptitude, proficiency with hand and power tools, and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Finisher will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality finished products that meet customer specifications and safety standards.
Duties
- Operate cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery safely to move materials and finished products.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools to perform finishing tasks such as grinding, polishing, and assembly.
- Conduct quality inspections to identify defects or inconsistencies in finished products.
- Perform mechanical adjustments or repairs as needed to meet specifications.
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste.
- Assist with the setup and calibration of machinery for finishing processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- Prior experience in manufacturing, machining, or assembly is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge including familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding, and machining techniques is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during finishing tasks.
- Experience with lean manufacturing practices is a plus.
- Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, or other heavy equipment is advantageous but not mandatory; training may be provided.
- Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential qualities for success in this role.
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
