- Administer medications, initiate IV therapy, and perform clinical procedures.
- Support patients and families through education and emotional care.
- Collaborate with the broader health care team to coordinate services.
- Supervise and support LPNs and unregulated care providers as appropriate.

Registered Nurse – Certified Practice (RN-C)
Rate: $67 per hour

RN-Cs work with enhanced autonomy to diagnose and treat select conditions in accordance with certified practice regulations.

- Independently diagnose and manage specific conditions based on certification.
- Prescribe and administer treatment and medications as authorized.
- Provide specialized care in remote, rural, or underserved areas.
- Promote health and prevent illness through targeted education and services.
- Stay current with BCCNM certified practice requirements and recertification.
- Document and communicate care clearly within interdisciplinary teams.
Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN)
Rate: $63 per hour

RPNs focus on the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of clients across all life stages, practicing both independently and in collaboration with mental health teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess mental health status and develop therapeutic care plans.
- Administer and evaluate psychiatric treatments and medications.
- Provide crisis intervention, behavior management, and counseling.
- Engage with clients, families, and communities to support mental wellness.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other care professionals.
- Uphold BCCNM RPN Scope of Practice, ethics, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Must hold active registration and be in good standing with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) under your designated nursing classification.
- Minimum of 18 months of relevant work experience for all BC Health Authorities.
- Minimum of 24 months of relevant work experience for FNHA Assignments.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support(BLS) required to all specialty. Additional certifications, courses and trainings may be required based on assignment and specified specialties.
