Job Summary
The Oilfield Rentals Field Technician is responsible for delivering, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting rental equipment at oilfield and industrial sites. This role requires hands-on mechanical skills, a strong focus on safety, and the ability to work in demanding outdoor environments while supporting customers and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver, pick up, and set up rental equipment at customer job sites
- Inspect, test, and maintain rental equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation
- Perform basic repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance in the field and shop
- Assist with installation, operation, and removal of oilfield rental equipment
- Complete daily service reports, inspection checklists, and delivery documentation
- Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and customers regarding job status and equipment needs
- Follow all company, customer, and industry safety policies and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment, tools, and vehicles
- Participate in on-call rotations and work extended hours as required by job demands

- Pumps, tanks, hoses, and fittings
- Power generation equipment
- Environmental control and containment systems
- Pressure control or flowback-related rental equipment (as applicable)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physical labor
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Experience
- Oilfield, industrial, or rental equipment experience
- Knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, or electrical systems
- Forklift, crane, or equipment operation certifications
Work Environment
- Oilfield and industrial job sites
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Fast-paced, physically demanding environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
