Job Description: Reporting to the Environmental Services Divisional Project Manager,
you will be responsible for:
Demolition Duties:
Including, but not limited to the following:
Use of manual and/or mechanical demolition tools;
Application of demolition tools to remove walls, ceilings and/or complete
structures;
Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites;
Clean and pile salvaged materials;
Other duties as required by your Supervisor.
Abatement Duties:
Including, but not limited to the following:
Removing Asbestos/Lead/Mold from ceilings, walls, beams, boilers, and other
structures following hazardous waste handling guidelines;
Constructing containment units;
Post abatement personal decontamination and hygiene following hazardous
waste handling guidelines;
Other duties as required by your Supervisor.
General Duties:
Including, but not limited to the following:
Driving company vehicle;
Completing daily timecard;
Other duties as required by your Supervisor.
Training/Certificates Required:
WHMIS Certificate;
Working at Heights Certificate;
Worker Health and Safety Awareness Certificate;
Asbestos Abatement Worker Course (MTCU 253-W)*.
Pre-Qualification Criteria:
Valid class “G” Driver’s License with clean abstract;
CPIC –With Vulnerable Sector Clearance;
Basic Literacy skills – written and oral.
