Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual methods
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces
- Assist with organizing clean dishes for easy access by kitchen staff and servers
- Support food handling procedures by ensuring all items are properly sanitized before use in food preparation or service
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely availability of clean dishes during busy service periods
- Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a hygienic environment
- Restock dishware and utensils as needed to keep the kitchen running seamlessly
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with basic cleaning procedures and food handling standards is advantageous
- Experience working in a fast-paced setting such as hotels or hospitality environments is a plus
