Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Canada. Based in the local area, this role plays a vital part in managing our financial records and supporting our company's growth in the construction and renovation industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Reconcile accounts and perform account analysis to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll using ADP or UltiPro, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Assist with budgeting, data entry, and financial reporting.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to improve financial workflows.
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial information.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role within the construction or renovation industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, receivable, and account reconciliation processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with integrity.
- Knowledge of payroll processing through ADP or UltiPro is preferred.
- Basic math skills and analytical abilities for account analysis.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members.
