About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Analyst / Paralegal to join their Calgary-based Contracts team. Reporting directly to the Director of Contracts, this role plays an integral part in supporting the review, preparation, negotiation, and administration of a broad range of commercial agreements.

Key Responsibilities
- Review, draft, revise, and negotiate commercial contracts and legal documents in accordance with company standards and policies.
- Maintain contract records, databases, and tracking systems to ensure accuracy and compliance throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners from contract initiation through execution and implementation.
- Coordinate contract administration activities, including amendments, insurance documentation, and supporting records.
- Update and maintain contract templates, standard agreements, and procedural documentation.
- Ensure contracts receive appropriate approvals and identify issues requiring escalation.
- Monitor agreement status and support the successful execution of contractual commitments across the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a legal, contracts, or commercial agreements environment.
- Post-secondary education in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of contract law principles and contract lifecycle management.
- Experience reviewing and managing various agreement types, including service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, purchase orders, leases, and other commercial contracts.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and contract management software.
- Experience with SharePoint or legal document management systems is considered an asset.
