Hiring: Gas Appliance Service Technician Instructor (Contract Position)
Location: Surrey, BC
Schedule: Saturdays (Starting August 8, 2026)
Ace Trades and Technical Institute (ATTI) is a private training provider offering trades refresher and skills development programs for apprentices, journey persons, and experienced trade workers. For over 15 years, ATTI has supported students in preparing for and successfully challenging their Level Exams, Inter-Provincial Red Seal Exams, and Trade Qualification (TQ) Exams.
We are currently seeking an experienced Gas Appliance Service Technician Instructor to deliver our upcoming program starting August 8, 2026. This is a Saturday-based contract teaching position in Surrey, BC.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering course content, supporting hands-on learning, and guiding students toward successful completion of the program. Students enrolled in this program are individuals looking to enhance their skills and prepare for employment opportunities in the gas appliance service industry.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Journeyperson certification and relevant industry experience in Gas Appliance Service Technician or related gas trade.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching/training experience in a trades school, vocational college, or industry training environment in BC.
- Strong knowledge of gas appliance service, troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and safety practices.
- Ability to deliver engaging classroom and practical training.
- Strong communication skills with a caring and supportive approach toward student success.
Position Details:
- Contract-based position per course.
- Classes delivered on Saturdays starting August 8, 2026.
- Opportunity for future teaching assignments based on successful completion of the initial course.
- Location: Surrey, BC.
