We’re hiring a casual ECG Assistant to join our team at Surrey Memorial Hospital in Surrey, B.C.

Detailed Overview:
Performs Electro Cardiogram (ECG) testing and equipment maintenance. Assists Registered Technician or Technologist with stress testing and other related procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Explains procedures to prepare patients for ECG and related tests and answers related questions.

Performs ECG testing by attachning electrodes to the patient andoperating equipment according to standard procedures.

Under supervision of a Registered Technician or Technologist, performs duties such as operating ECG equipment during stress testing and related procedures and scanning recordings from equipment such as holter monitors and pacemakers.

Performs related clerical duties such as filing, typing, booking appointments and answering telephones.

Maintains equipment by cleaning, lubricating and replacing items such as paper rolls, fuses and bulbs.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
Grade 12 plus one year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
