Whole Health Pharmacy is a growing specialty pharmacy dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care through integrated specialty pharmacy and infusion services. As part of the Intrepid Health network, we collaborate with physicians, specialists, pharmacists, and allied healthcare professionals to improve access to innovative therapies across Ontario.
We are seeking an experienced Infusion Program Lead Nurse (RN) to lead the clinical development and operational delivery of our infusion services.
Position Summary
The Infusion Program Lead Nurse will play a key leadership role in establishing and managing infusion programs across our network. This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with experience in infusion therapy, biologics, specialty medications, and Patient Support Programs (PSPs), who enjoys building clinical programs and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
The successful candidate must be based in the Greater Toronto Area and be willing to travel up to two hours from the GTA to support clinics and infusion sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and ongoing management of infusion therapy programs.
- Coordinate patient onboarding, education, and clinical follow-up for specialty therapies.
- Administer and oversee infusion treatments in accordance with clinical best practices.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, pharmacists, and Patient Support Programs (PSPs) to coordinate patient care.
- Develop and implement nursing protocols, clinical workflows, and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor patients during infusion treatments and respond appropriately to adverse reactions or emergencies.
- Support reimbursement processes and coordinate with manufacturers and PSPs to facilitate patient access.
- Train, mentor, and provide clinical guidance to nursing staff.
- Ensure compliance with College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) standards, infection prevention protocols, and organizational policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and program expansion across Ontario.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in infusion therapy, specialty pharmacy, biologics, oncology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, neurology, or related specialty care.
- Experience working with biologic medications and specialty therapies.
- Familiarity with Patient Support Programs (PSPs) and reimbursement processes.
- Strong clinical assessment, IV therapy, and patient education skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and program implementation experience.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
Compensation
- Starting Salary: $100,000+ annually
