Location: Lanark County/Carleton Place
Hours: Monday-Friday 6 PM - 9 PM and every other weekend 11 AM - 6 PM
Duties
- Provide behavioural support and intervention to individuals with behavioural challenges
- Teach life skills and Activities of Daily Living skills (ADLs), both in the home and in the community and assist with homework completion
- Utilize evidence-based strategies and interventions to promote positive behaviour change
- Monitor and track progress through simple data collection
Requirements
- Degree in psychology, Special Education, or a related field or a Diploma in Developmental Service Work, Social Service Work, Applied Behaviour Analysis, etc.
- Experience working with children or individuals with behavioural challenges and exceptionalities
- Knowledge of behavioural principles and strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping individuals with behavioural challenges
