Overview
We are seeking a driven and experienced Sales Account Manager to lead growth across Western Canada (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba). This is a remote role, with a preference for candidates based in Calgary or Vancouver, involving regular travel to meet clients and partners.
This position focuses on expanding sales of our full portfolio of solar and energy storage solutions, including modules, inverters, racking systems, battery storage, and related accessories. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of the Canadian solar market and can effectively support installers, EPCs, and distribution partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and grow relationships with solar installers, EPCs, distributors, and commercial clients
- Drive sales across the full product portfolio, including solar panels, inverters, racking systems, and battery storage
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in residential, commercial, and small utility segments
- Deliver product presentations, training sessions, and ongoing customer support
- Provide pre-sales technical guidance, including system recommendations suited for Canadian climate conditions (snow load, wind load, cold weather performance)
- Prepare proposals and quotations, and maintain an accurate sales pipeline in CRM systems
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and high customer satisfaction
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regional regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of sales or account management experience (solar or energy industry preferred)
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems (modules, inverters, racking, batteries)
- Familiarity with Canadian standards (CEC, CSA) and Western Canada market dynamics
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly within Western Canada
Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
