Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to review and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and legal integrity of medico-legal, catastrophic and accident benefits reports. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong medical-legal background who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, document-intensive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review reports for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Ensure reports meet legal, regulatory, and formatting requirements
- Identify discrepancies, omissions, and inconsistencies in documentation
- Liaise with internal teams and assessors to ensure edits are completed accurately and efficiently
- Maintain high standards of quality control and compliance across all reports
- Ensure timelines and deadlines are consistently met
Qualifications
- Legal background required (Senior Law Clerk or equivalent experience preferred)
- CAT certification is considered a strong asset, or a minimum of 2 years’ experience reviewing catastrophic impairment application reports
- Strong understanding of the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS) and Ontario tort requirements
- Strong knowledge of legal documentation and terminology
- Exceptional attention to detail, proofreading, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage high-volume workloads in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Experience with med-legal, personal injury, or insurance-related documentation is preferred
