We are currently hiring a dependable General Labourer / Traffic Control Person (TCP) to support our crews on various job sites. This position involves a mix of physical labour and traffic control duties to ensure safe and efficient work zones.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and manage traffic control zones using signs, cones, and barriers
- Direct traffic safely using stop/slow paddles and hand signals
- Ensure safety of workers, pedestrians, and motorists at all times
- Assist with general labour tasks including site setup, cleanup, and material handling
- Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors
Requirements
- Valid Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification (required)
- Previous experience in traffic control and/or general labour
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs+
- Strong awareness of safety and surroundings
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours
Assets
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- First Aid certification
- Experience in construction or road work
- Flagging experience on busy roadways
