About the Opportunity

DSI Dantech is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Richmond, BC. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of mechanical systems that support both project delivery and ongoing operations. You will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure designs meet customer, manufacturing, and regulatory requirements.
It is important to note that your immediate Manager is based in Singapore, but you will be surrounded by colleagues in both Canada and the US who you can knowledge-share with also. This also means that there could be occasional travel to the Singapore Office e.g. < 10 days a year.
What You’ll Do
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:
- Develop and execute mechanical designs using SolidWorks
- Create and maintain 3D models and detailed 2D technical drawings in SolidWorks
- Design sheet metal components and assemblies
- Support Project Managers with design updates, revisions, and technical documentation
- Maintain organized and accurate design and project documentation
- Contribute to design control processes and engineering documentation standards
- Ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, and aligned with project specifications
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across engineering, production, and sales
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in mechanical design
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks
- Experience with design documentation, revision control, and engineering processes
- Basic knowledge in AutoCAD
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., sheet metal fabrication)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and a structured approach to work

- Salary range: CAD $65,000 – $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
