Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using Micros POS (Point of Sale) systems or similar cash handling equipment
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established standards, ensuring freshness, quality, and food safety compliance
- Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and provide correct change using POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment following food safety guidelines
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and minimize wait times
- Assist with food handling procedures, including proper storage, portioning, and adhering to sanitation standards
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar cash register technology
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks during peak hours
