Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cook/Dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of our kitchen, ensuring that food is prepared efficiently and that dishes are cleaned to uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong attention to detail, and a positive attitude. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Cook various dishes, ensuring quality and presentation meet restaurant specifications
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment during shifts
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools promptly to support efficient kitchen operations
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed to prevent contamination or spoilage
- Support the serving staff by preparing ingredients or assisting with plating as needed
- Keep the work area organized and sanitized at all times to meet health regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending
- Positive attitude with good communication skills and teamwork orientation
