Advanco Electric is looking for commercial journeyman/woman electrician to join our team. This position offers and opportunity to work on challenging tasks and work on a large variety of different types of electrical work. What you should have:
- Red seal journeyman certification
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code
- Strong knowledge of distribution equipment and BC Hydro standards
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems and fire alarm system wiring
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Min. 2- 5 years commercial experience as a journeyman/woman electrician
What you will be doing:
- Service and small projects works
- Plan projects and work through interpretation of electrical drawings
- Organize materials and equipment required for each task
- Maintain safe working practices and conditions
- Communicate with other trades and clients to coordinate work
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues
- Work independently on service calls and projects involving distribution, emergency lighting, lighting, branch circuitry, and fire alarm systems
Nice to have:
- First aid certification
- Previous service experience
