Dance Instructor (Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet & Pre School Dance)
Legends Academy of the Performing Arts is looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and passionate dance instructor to join our growing team in Cambridge, Ontario!
We are seeking an instructor who is confident teaching Jazz, Lyrical, and Ballet to both recreational and competitive dancers of all ages. Our ideal candidate is someone who loves helping dancers grow, creates a positive learning environment, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
- Teach high-quality Jazz, Lyrical, and Ballet classes.
- Instruct recreational and competitive dancers of various ages and skill levels.
- Create engaging lesson plans that focus on strong technical development while fostering confidence and a love of dance.
- Work closely with our teaching team to provide a consistent and positive studio experience.
- Offer constructive feedback that helps dancers reach their full potential.
Qualifications
- Strong training and teaching experience in Jazz, Lyrical, and Ballet.
- Experience teaching both recreational and competitive dancers.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Positive, reliable, and professional.
- A collaborative team player who enjoys working alongside others.
- Passion for inspiring dancers in a supportive and encouraging environment.
The following are considered assets:
- Dance teacher certification (ADAPT, CDTA, RAD, or equivalent).
- Post-secondary dance education.
- Professional dance performance or teaching experience.
- Experience choreographing competitive routines.

Schedule
- Starting with one evening per week, with the opportunity for additional teaching days as the role develops.
