Altera Health has partnered with a well-established diagnostic imaging organization to recruit Nuclear Medicine Technologists for multiple outpatient imaging clinics across Milton, Mississauga, and Newmarket.

What You'll Do
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring exceptional patient care and maintaining the highest standards of radiation safety.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform a variety of general nuclear medicine procedures
- Perform cardiac nuclear medicine studies, including rest and stress imaging (where qualified)
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with established protocols
- Verify patient history, requisitions, and examination requirements
- Explain imaging procedures and ensure patients feel comfortable throughout their visit
- Acquire high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining radiation safety standards
- Review images for technical quality and completeness
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Complete quality assurance testing and equipment checks
- Maintain accurate electronic documentation and clinical records
- Follow CMRITO standards, infection prevention practices, privacy legislation, and workplace safety policies
- Collaborate closely with physicians, cardiologists, radiologists, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Current registration in good standing with CMRITO (Nuclear Medicine)
- Current CPR Certification
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine imaging procedures and radiation safety
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative clinical team
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in any of the following is considered an asset:
- Cardiac Nuclear Medicine
- SPECT and SPECT/CT Imaging
- Bone Mineral Density (DEXA)
- Stress Testing Procedures
- Outpatient Diagnostic Imaging
