We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to work both in the shop and from our Mobile Service Truck at our Kleysen Yard to join our Fleet Repair/Maintenance facility in Edmonton (Sherwood Park). The Technician will report to the Manager, FRM Edmonton, to obtain work orders and direction, however, will need to be comfortable to work independently, mainly out of the service truck in the Kleysen Yard in Sherwood Park, doing preventative maintenance and repairs on variety of truck, trailing and off road equipment. The technician will work mainly outdoors, year-round in all weather conditions. We offer a safe and respectful work environment where you can apply your skills to a variety of technical tasks.
The shift will be from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm and .
Position Requirements:
- Journeyman (or Red Seal) Heavy Equipment Technician, will consider applications from experienced apprentices.
- Experience with diagnosing & repairing Heavy Duty Equipment
- Experience repairing and servicing a variety of class 1 equipment (both trucks & trailers and off-road equipment)
- Familiar with Kenworth’s, flat deck trailers, step deck trailers, bulk trailers, tankers, yard equipment which include telehandlers, loaders, forklifts, a top loader & pickups
- Certified CVIP Technician preferred (or experience, and willingness, to obtain)
- Valid class 5 license (minimum) with acceptable abstract
- Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of their assigned work truck and equipment
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must have own tools and safety boots

- Must have own vehicle to get to work as public transportation is not available
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test (as this position is safety sensitive it falls under Kleysen’s Controlled Substance Policy)
