We are seeking an experienced Regional Exploration Project Geologist to play a key role in advancing the Hammerdown regional exploration strategy. Based at our Hammerdown Project near King’s Point, Newfoundland and Labrador, this position is responsible for designing and executing exploration drilling programs, generating and advancing exploration targets, integrating multidisciplinary datasets, and contributing to the development of a district-scale geological understanding.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Exploration Manager to lead regional geological compilation efforts, undertaking comprehensive 3D geological modelling. This role will contribute directly to identifying and prioritizing drill targets in preparation for the Company's next phase of regional exploration and resource growth.

Your Role in the Expedition:
As the Project Geologist, you’ll be part of a dynamic team. Your responsibilities will include:
Regional Exploration
- Design, coordinate and execute regional diamond drilling programs.
- Supervise drilling contractors and daily drilling activities while ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Coordinate geological logging, sampling, QA/QC and geological data collection.
- Conduct geological mapping, prospect evaluations and field investigations.
- Interpret lithology, alteration, mineralization and structural geology from drilling and field observations.
- Integrate geological, structural, geochemical and geophysical datasets into exploration interpretations.
- Generate, rank and refine exploration targets for follow-up drilling.
- Participate in property-scale geological compilation and interpretation.
- Assist in developing exploration strategies and annual drill plans.
Geological Interpretation & 3D Modelling
- Develop and continuously refine 3D geological models using Leapfrog.
- Lead geological and structural interpretations to improve the understanding of the Hammerdown district.
- Participate in the complete remodelling of the Hammerdown deposit.
- Integrate historical exploration data into updated geological models.
- Support resource modelling and future resource estimation updates.
- Collaborate with GIS and Data Management teams to maintain high-quality geological databases.
- Review analytical results and QA/QC performance to ensure data integrity.
Technical Leadership
- Mentor junior geologists, students and geological technicians.
- Provide technical guidance during drilling campaigns.
- Assist in developing exploration standards, workflows and best practices.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations and exploration summaries.
- Participate in exploration budgeting, scheduling and contractor management.
- Foster a strong safety culture while promoting teamwork and continuous improvement.
What You Bring to the Field:
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences or related discipline.
- Eligible for registration as a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) in Newfoundland and Labrador or another Canadian jurisdiction.
- Minimum 10 years of mineral exploration experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing diamond drilling programs.
- Strong understanding of structural geology and ore controls.
- Experience with Leapfrog Geo and other 3D geological modelling software.
- Experience with ArcGIS/QGIS and geological database management.
- Strong understanding of QA/QC principles and geological data validation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver's licence.
Preferred Provisions:
- Experience exploring structurally controlled and/orogenic gold deposits.
- Experience in both greenfield and brownfield exploration environments.
- Demonstrated success in regional target generation and drill target definition.
- Experience integrating structural geology, geochemistry and geophysics into exploration models.
- Experience developing district-scale geological models.
- Experience mentoring junior geologists and technical staff.
- Experience preparing NI 43-101 technical documentation or supporting resource estimation programs.
