Reporting
The Metrology Technician reports directly to the Metrology Shop Supervisor.

Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities
-
Calibrate and repair mechanical and electrical measuring and testing equipment.
-
Use company tooling and equipment to calibrate and repair measuring and testing instruments.

Use Quantum to prepare work reports and customer documentation accurately and efficiently.
-
Work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve departmental goals.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
Two-year diploma in a relevant field required.
-
Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) designation, or progress toward obtaining the designation, is considered an asset.

Strong background in electronics and familiarity with electronic test equipment required. Previous hands-on mechanical experience is considered a strong asset.

Previous experience using Quantum or similar enterprise or maintenance software is considered an asset.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.

Ability to obtain and maintain required Transport Canada security clearances.
Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience working in a production environment.

Aviation experience is considered an asset.
