Job Summary
We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is a hands-on role supporting both patient care and surgery, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is looking to take the next step in their veterinary career.
What You'll Do
- Assist with patient admissions and intake, including gathering medical histories and ensuring accurate documentation
- Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians during routine exams, outpatient treatments, and diagnostic procedures
- Perform in-house laboratory testing such as fecals, urinalysis, and bloodwork under supervision
- Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas, and assist with setup for routine surgeries and dental procedures
- Wrap and sterilize surgical instruments and gowns following proper autoclave protocols
- Accurately fill prescriptions and prepare medications as directed by the veterinary team
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding discharge instructions, medication administration, and follow-up care
- Prepare estimates, process payments, and finalize invoices
- Maintain cleanliness and restock exam and treatment areas
What We're Looking For
- 1–2+ years of experience in a veterinary or medical clinic preferred
- Comfortable with patient handling, restraint, and lab work
- Familiarity with surgical preparation and instrument sterilization
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask with confidence
- Available for 4 shifts per week (10-hour days), including some evenings and occasionally Saturdays (consistent schedule)

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
