Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional front desk support, managing patient interactions, and ensuring smooth office operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with electronic medical records, and experience in a medical or dental office setting. Duties
- Greet patients and visitors professionally, creating a welcoming environment
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and coordinate patient flow
- Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately using Epic and Dentrix systems
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting insurance information and payments
- Prepare and organize documentation for appointments, referrals, and billing processes
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient daily operations and patient care delivery
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office setting is highly preferred
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Dentrix
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Experience handling multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Office experience that demonstrates strong administrative capabilities
- Familiarity with dental or medical office software is a plus
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
